Communities Against Drugs have been working in Brighton and Hove since 2005 to identify and address drug and alcohol issues affecting local communities. As part of this, we have carried out community audits asking residents a number of questions to establish how much of a problem they think drugs and alcohol are in their neighbourhood.
Neighbourhood Liaison Officers use the audit data collected to formulate an action plan which steers the work of the CAD Team in specific areas. After a period of time a second audit is completed to find out if we have made a positive difference and to identify any new emerging issues.
The following documents compare the results from the first and second audits in all six of the areas where they were carried out.
