City Wide Projects

The Communities Against Drugs team funds a few citywide projects. Click on each one for some more information:


PATCHED – a support service for the friends and families of substance misusers

ParkSafe

Shop Lifting Project – a project to engage prolific shoplifters in drug treatment. By tackling their drug misuse, this removes their need to shoplift

Brighton Oasis Project – we fund an outreach worker to help support female drug users through treatment

Safe Space – provides a safe place for young people to go on West Street on Friday and Saturday nights who have got into problems on a night out

Parksafe – making ‘The Level’ a safer place to be

The GOAL Group - an independent voluntary sector organisation working with individuals and local neighbourhoods to reduce the hazardous impact of problematic alcohol consumption. Offering advice on harm reduction, information, one-to-one and group support

Families Conference - Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Action Teams jointly organise a conference every year on the theme of families, drugs and alcohol

CRI Peer Mentoring - CAD supports CRI's Peer Mentoring project for recovering drug users

 

Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy for businesses to use. This has been with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). The Policy is designed to be supportive of employees who may be experiencing problems with drugs or alcohol. For more information please contact us.
