Safe Space

Safe Space, which is run by Hove YMCA is a safe place for people to go if they have got into difficulties on a night out. If people have drunk too much, taken drugs, been the victim of a violent crime, lost their friends or just feel unsafe, they can visit Safe Space for help. SafeSpace

Safe Space is based in St Paul’s Church on West Street and has youth workers from Hove YMCA and Red Cross first aiders. It is normally open from 10.45pm to 3.45am on Friday and Saturday nights.

‘I lost all my friends and was getting harassed and touched by men walking up West Street. Safe Space took me out of what could have been a dangerous situation and got me home safely, it was really helpful. Thank you’.
